Let's Review One Important Detail from the GAA

If you are applying from a Virginia Community College, you may be considering the Guaranteed Admission Agreement (GAA).  There are many important details on the GAA including the fact that you cannot use it to apply for spring semester.  That's right.  See the detail below clipped from Section 1.  Now, if you are not admitted for spring and want to try again for fall, then we'll consider you for the GAA. But again, it is not open to applicants for spring admission.

Hopefully you will be able to answer my question as I cannot find any solid information on it. December 2013 I finished my AAS degree from a vccs community college. So technically my guaranteed admission would only be good until fall 2015. Correct? Would I be able to apply for admission in 2015 then defer to fall 2016 and still have guaranteed admission? The plan due to financial reasons is to be at UVA in fall 2016. Thanks for any info!

Jen,
Yes, but during this time 2015-2016, you would not be able to attend school elsewhere. Please do apply by March 1, 2015.

I have a question about the Social Science and Non-Western Perspective requirement. If I take a social science class that it listed as a non-western class, will one class satisfy both requirements? For example if I take SOC 211 (Anthropology I) will I be meet the requirement? I already have ECO 201.

Anon with SS and NW question,
Yes, you can double up on requirements, but you will only receive three credits because after all it is only one class.

What are the chances of getting in on my own for Spring 2016 as a CC student?
