Fall 2026 Transfer Waitlist Update

I received the official update that we have closed the transfer waitlist for Fall 2026. We want to thank you for your interest in UVA and for participating in the waitlist process!

If you applied as a second-year transfer applicant and UVA continues to be of interest to you, we look forward to providing additional information about the transfer process and possibly reviewing a future application from you.

The College of Arts and Sciences offers a small number of seats for Spring admission. That application opens on August 1 and is due October 1. All of UVA's transfer schools (the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, the School of Nursing, the McIntire School of Commerce, the School of Architecture, and the School of Education and Human Development) accept applications for Fall admission. The next Fall application opens on August 1 and is due March 1, 2027.

Fall 2026 Waitlisted Applicants - This Update is for You!

Hello Waitlisted Applicants! 👋

I received notification this morning that a very small number of admission offers will be released this evening to waitlisted applicants for the College of Arts and Sciences. I have now received confirmation that those offers should be released around 6 p.m. this evening.

For applicants receiving an offer, a message will be sent to the email address provided with your application notifying you that an update has been added to your application portal. You will need to log in to your application portal to view the update.

I also received confirmation that the waiting list is not closing today. We do not know whether additional offers, for any of the schools or college, will be made. If they are, we will let you know. If the waitlist closes, we will let you know. There are no hard deadlines for these decisions.

Please know that we understand waiting may not be easy. These decisions are made as information becomes available and can be confirmed. This is a fluid process.
