And now for something a little different

Please follow this link to find a story about a former transfer student. He transfered to UVA a couple of years ago and graduated Phi Beta Kappa on May 18. I'll call it a little taste of the students you'll come across at UVA. http://www.virginia.edu/uvatoday/newsRelease.php?id=5208 Enjoy!

I can certainly identify with his decisions to begin taking school seriously and the desire to transfer into the best school possible in order to accomplish that goal. At this point I can barely breathe when I check the mail to see if I got in off of the waitlist.

I know exactly what you mean. Everyday around 1:30 I run to the window and just stand there waiting for the mail truck.I even have the mail man looking for me now! haha

Hey Waitlisters, currently the application status page is down. It will be back up by either monday or tuesday, and according to Dean J's blog, we will properly find out our actual status by then.

Hey Transfermer,
Is the College Arts and Sciences full or still spots available?

I think that may be referring to the waitlisted first years, not transfers. I am pretty sure they said transfers will only find out through snail mail and will continue to here until the week of June 17.

yea anything from dean j's blog is strictly aimed for first years only. transfers are receiving snail mail through the rolling process.

Yes, please refer to this blog for transfer information on the wait list. DEAN J's blog is for FIRST YEARS.

I can tell you that nothing will be going out this week. So, you won't have to sit at the window for a change. It's likely that letters will be going out closer to the end of the month.

I have no idea about the numbers for the College of Arts and Sciences. But as I said before, this is the school that we see more movement --turndowns and offers from the wait list than any other school.
