I should have been more clear about the deadline. For some of you, your letter will read May 12. For those that it doesn't, please adhere to the instructions in your letter. Some of you received letters behind schedule. Whatever the case, you should follow the instructions enclosed in your packet. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Hello Transfermer.
I have been accepted to the college of arts and sciences and I have a question about summer school.
I am a community college student and I am about to complete my first year. I realize that once I am at UVA that I cannot take summer classes at the community college. But am I able to take a summer class this summer and still have it count toward credit at UVA (assuming that I have already accepted admission and what not) or can I not matriculate once I have accepted admissions?
Hi Transfermer,
I had a question and I'm wondering if you can direct me to the right place. I just was accepted to the college of arts and sciences for the fall; I came from community college and I will have junior status. I am going to be doing an internship this summer and I am wondering if there is any way I can get college credit for it. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!
Chris,
You can take classes at the community college if you want to this summer. Now, say, you want to go back home and take them in the summer of 2009. That's when you would have to get approval from the College, but it is possible. In short, you can take them this summer and as long as it's transferable, it will count.
B_wheel,
Good question, but it's my understanding that you would have to find an internship through the university in order to get credit. For more information on such advising, go here: www.career.virginia.edu
I'm assuming we'll get something in the mail regarding email addresses, etc., right? My status page says my deposit has been received, so now I have to wait for something to come in the mail before I can do anything?
anonymous: on the last post, under comments, transfermer noted that we wouldn't have passwords for email addresses until the deposit was processed, so my guess would be that until they actually cash in your check, you won't be getting information. I could be wrong though....
I have a question regarding transcripts...when is the deadline for that??
Right Sharrah, the information you will receive in the mail will tell you about signing up for your computing ID and getting your email address.
w10, there is no official deadline for mailing transcripts, but the sooner the better. Obviously, if you are admitted and your finals don't happen until mid to late June, we can't hold that against you. If you are waitlisted, and you are in this situation, please let us know by emailing undergradadmission@virgina.edu
