Can I ask a favor?

Decisions for first-year applicants (not you all, but those applying from high school) will be released online tonight at 5pm EST.  The system will be overwhelmed with the clicks of potentially thousands of anxious 17 and 18 year olds.  Could you do me the favor and stay off of SIS for tonight?   I realize it’s an odd request, but I think it will really help and … well, I was getting tired of looking at the snow seeing as how it is now 83 degrees out.  Phew!  Thanks readers!

Hi Transfermer! Is there anyway I could scan the midterm report and send it that way through email? or must it be mailed in an envelope?

I check my SIS account every day and I just looked right now and my heart stopped. I saw that the link was open to check my decision and I stared at it for about 10 minutes too nervous to open it. Then I finally got the courage to click on it. I closed my eyes then opened them only to see that it said, "Admission decisions are not available at this time. Please check back May 1, 2012." Thank you for almost making me have a heart attack! haha

Midterm,
You can email it to the address listed on the front of this blog.

Hopeful transfer,
Yes, this happens every cycle. I'm sorry for making you anxious. I will tell you when decisions are coming out. It just means that your file is complete and the reading of transfer applications is in full-swing.

Will it be a problem if the initial midterm report arrives with one missing grade? I plan to send the grade for the missing class ASAP. One of my professors had a loss in his family and has been away for the past two weeks. When he arrives, I plan to have him fill out the midterm report for his class and send it to UVA.

Also, I had my professors fill out the midterm report form found on the CommonApp. Is this the correct form to use?

Thank you for your help.

Anon,
No, that won't be a problem and yes, that is the form you should use.
