Waiting List Update

Thanks all for being patient. Our staff has been traveling for work and letting the numbers come in and settle. We likely won't move to the waitlist until the end of the month.

Here comes the hard part. Our yield was almost spot on for Commerce, Nursing, and Engineering. This means we won't be making many offers for these schools.

We will be making a good number of offers for the College of Arts and Sciences. The reason for this is that it's our largest school and even though the majority of applicants apply here, the process just allows us room to budge. Remember that the list is not ranked. We will just go in and review these students again from now until probably middle and late June.

Like I said in the past, close to 400 students have elected to stay on the wait list. We will make offers to about 40-50 students, the majority of them coming from the College of Arts and Sciences.

If you are on the waitlist, please, please mail your official final grades when they become available. If you are reading this and you were not offered admission or the waitlist, there is no need to send grades.

I will give you updates when I have new information. Thanks again for being so patient.

Hey Transfermer,

Would it be okay if we called or emailed the office to confirm that that our transcript was received?

Thanks!

Transfermer,

The due date for my final transcript says July 1, 2010. Is this a problem?

Transfermer,

When you say that the yeild rate for Commerce was almost spot on, could you be a bit more specific? Does that mean only one spot is available or five? I'm just trying to be as realistic about my chances as possible, so I like knowing the odds.

Thank you for the update!

Do you have any word on about how many offers will be made for architecture?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows what to do about housing. I got a letter that says to apply by May 27th. I submitted an off-grounds leasing request. I just want to confirm that the deadline is for those who desire dorms, correct?

do you know how many offers for nursing? you said there is not many...so how many?

yayuva - yes that's right. May 27th is the deadline for students who want to live on campus.

Also here's a FB link for anyone who is transferring in the Fall! :)

So if the deadline for transfer housing is May 27th, what becomes of potential transfers coming off the wait list?

Are we doomed to live life on another wait list, this time for transfer housing?

woe is me

Hi! I was granted acceptance originally on May 1st. I clicked on undecided May 15th because my parents were hesitant about staying in Virginia. Is there still a chance I can be admitted??

I just got accepted into the Commerce school from wait-list!!!!!!! I'm so stoked right now! Congrats to anyone else who's been accepted. To those of you still waiting: don't lose hope, you just might get that e-mail too! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hopefully I'll see you guys on the grounds this fall! :-)

Transfermer: As always, thank you for all your help through this crazy process!
