Hello Everyone!
Thank you for your patience while waiting for our office to finish up the review process for this enrollment cycle. Decisions were released electronically yesterday evening. If you applied, you received a notification saying there was an update to your application status - check your applicant portal for your decisions!
Please pay attention to the deposit deadline and instructions in that notification. If you're waiting for a financial aid award before making your decision, those should be out soon. If you’ve applied for financial aid, make sure that you’ve submitted your FAFSA and CSS profile to UVA, and check your SIS portal to make sure you have completed any items that may be on your to-do list. We know that award information may be important in your decision – as the deadline approaches, if you have submitted all of your documents and you are still waiting on the financial aid package, let us know and we can extend your deadline to deposit.
FAQs:
-If you are waitlisted (or admitted), make sure to send your final spring transcript (if you're currently in courses) as soon as it is available. Waitlist decisions won't go out until late May at the earliest - likely June.
-If you were denied, do know that this is an extremely competitive process with a limited amount of space - unfortunately the nature of selective admissions is we have to deny (or waitlist) really strong candidates every year. If you'll be applying next admission cycle, keep following the course recommendations - those (and/or grades) are the biggest factors influencing transfer decisions.
Congratulations on making it through this admission cycle, everyone!
