Fall 2012 Transfer Class is Complete

As I said earlier on, there has been no movement on the wait list this week.  We've tied up our loose ends and with that, the fall process for transfer is complete. I want to thank you for your patience and attention to the blog. 

Today, we will email all students remaining on the wait list to officially tell you this news. In an effort to be environmentally friendly, we will not mail letters.

I know this may be disappointing news, but hopefully it brings some much needed closure to the process. Soon, we'll start discussing the spring 2013 process for new visitors to the blog and those of you that are eligible for application.

As always thank you for asking great questions, but above all, thanks for your patience and understanding.

Wait list News: Version 2.0

At 3pm today, we sent out offers via email to about 20 students.  We are offering to students who applied to Architecture, Engineering and Arts and Sciences.  Most of these will come from the College of Arts and Sciences.  Our method of communication is via email, but these students can also check their SIS accounts whereby the decision will be changed to offer.  Instructions on important deadlines for depositing will be in the email. Check your spambox or junk folder, but please do not call the office if you do not get an email or if your decision hasn't changed.

The wait list is still open for all schools.  In fact, my sense is that we may make some offers for Commerce and Nursing in the future. I just want you all to prepare for the completion of the process. We hope to have all of this wrapped up by the end of June.  Like I said in the last post, I will announce it on the blog when the process is finished. You'll also receive an email.

Wait list News

This evening we will make some offers from the waitlist.  We are offering to students in Nursing, Commerce, Engineering and Arts and Sciences.  All told, it will be about 80 students.  Most of these will come from the College of Arts and Sciences.  Our method of communication is via email, but these students can also check their SIS accounts whereby the decision will be changed to offer.  Instructions on deadlines for depositing will be in the email. This does not mean the waitlist is closed.  After hearing from this crop of students, we will look at our numbers and see if we can offer to more students.  It can be a long process and historically, it doesn't wrap up until the end of June or early July. I will announce it on the blog when the process is finished.  Hang in there everyone.
