While it sounds trite, we wish we could admit all of the wonderful applicants who have applied. You should be proud of what you've done and proud of the fact that you took a risk and completed that transfer application. If you post here, please be considerate of
each other’s feelings, emotions, reactions and the like. We do not have an appeals process, but
depending upon the length of time you have been in college, you may be eligible
to apply again in the future. We thank you for your interest.

I didn't get in and I wanted it so badly. I don't know what to say. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be good and I really can't even process the idea of coming back to this school next year for at least another semester. I don't know what to do
I am so very sorry Anon. I hope you have some other options. If you are a community college student or a student who is in his or her first year at a four-year school, you may apply to UVA again in the future.
I was wondering what the average requirements are for students to be accepted into the SON RN-BSN program? I applied for Fall 2013 and did not get admitted.
I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa, a member of the Student Nurses Association and will graduate magna cum laude with a 3.8 (possibly 3.9 after this semester) GPA. I have been working in the ER as a tech for 3 years as well. I did not have statistics during the application process, but I take it this summer, which was noted on my application.
I am just a little confused because I was pretty confident that I would be accepted based on my achievements. Could you give me a little insight?
nursej,
I'm sorry you were not admitted. You do have some great things about your application. You mentioned Statistics. Could it have been your gen eds on the whole? I know these are just as important as experience outside of the classroom.

I was denied admission and was devastated, because I was one class short of the GAA requirements- non-Western perspective. This summer I plan to take a non-Western perspective and ITE to graduate. Will I be eligible to re-apply for Fall 2014?
Yes, you may reapply. Chances are your grades may be a little under par as well. We do admit students who don't fall under the rules of the GAA, but they have to be strong contenders in the pool.
Future Doctor,
At the time of review I had a 3.69 gpa. It has now risen to 3.72. Is that considered a strong contender?
Transformer,
When I transferred from WCC to VWCC I carried a 3.74 gpa. However, at VWCC my first semester I carried a 3.5 (AAAC) I received a "C" in Calculus. And this spring semester I carried a 3.33gpa (ABB). Currently my over-all gpa is 3.57. This does depress me as my grades have never been so low. Would you recommend retaking the Calculus class before I reapply. Also, should I apply for Spring or wait until Fall 2014 and re-apply under GAA?
Are juniors eligible to apply for third year transfer of Spring 2014? which would be due this coming August?
