Not Offered Admission?

This is the toughest part of our year.  We wish we could admit all of the wonderful applicants who have applied.  The reality is that we only have so much space making admission highly selective.  You should be proud of your accomplishments and proud of the fact that you stuck your neck out and applied to transfer from your world to a whole other world.

We do not have an appeals process, but depending upon the length of time you’ve been in college and your desired U.Va. school, you may be able to apply again in the future.  If you post here, please be considerate of each others feelings, emotions, reactions and the like. We wish you the best of luck.

  2. Is there anyway to get the application roll-overed for the Fall?

Im planning to reapply for Spring semester and was wondering if I would have to go through the whole process again-fill out common app, send grades and everything like that or if it could be roll-overed.

    Thanks

  3. I'm disappointed, but I definitely will try again.

I have the same question as HopeLee. Also, if we plan to apply again, is there any way we can contact the admissions office about our current application to see what we can work on until then? I'd like to know where they would like to see improvement.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  4. How does a community college student transition next year to work towards guaranteed admission?

  5. HopeLee,
We know you’re a dedicated reader. Thank you for your comments and questions. We do not roll over applications from fall to spring. You will have to complete a new application and send new college transcripts.

    Derby,
Yes, we may be able to give you some guidance if you call.

    Anon asking about the GAA,
There’s not much to it. It’s taking the right courses, earning the right grades and completing the requirements/degree by the end of spring 2015.

  6. I did not apply to the University this year, I applied back in 2009 and got waitlisted, I want to reapply again within a year or so but I'm wondering if my taking a while to reapply and finish an Associates will lower my chances of getting accepted?
