Your exams are coming or have come to an end. Let's hope you are happy about the way you performed. Make sure to get those final transcripts into our office!
Nursing and Commerce are often the schools that take few if any off the wait list. The same is true this year. As the College of Arts and Sciences is our largest school, we'll be taking 60-70 students from the wait list. The dust is still settling, but we hope to have the wait list resolved by the end of June. There are just over 400 students on the wait list for all schools.
Hello, my question is not related to the final transcript, but...
ReplyDeleteI am an admitted student and will have less than 60 credits before i enroll for fall 2014.
I was wondering if i can still take one or two classes at comm college when i am home for the NEXT SUMMER (2015). Do i need to take classes at UVA only after i transfer?
What about E-School?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for keeping us updated. So very appreciated!
Should I attend the 2nd-year transfer summer oreientation if i have around 50 credits so far? I just sent my final trascripts and am still waiting for final credit evaluation.
ReplyDeleteWill Nursing and Commerce applicants hear back any sooner than the other schools? Or do all decisions come out at once?
ReplyDeleteI sent in my final transcript and it is no longer on my to-do list on SIS, how long until I am notified what I receive credit for?
ReplyDeleteWhere do we send the transcripts? The Admission's office where we sent our previous college transcripts? If not which office, and what address. Thank you in advance.
ReplyDeleteWas everyone who accepted the wait list told to submit final transcripts in the to-do list?
ReplyDeleteWhen will we find out the decisions from the wait list??
ReplyDeleteWhere will we find the decisions? E-mail? SIS?
ReplyDeleteHello, my question is also not realted to final transcripts, but I am curious about when I will get an advisor. I want to go ahead and begin enrolling in classes, and I am willing to do so without an advisor (like I did at community college), but I would prefer to have some guidance this time.
ReplyDeleteThank you,
-Caroline
Caroline, most schools make it so an advisor has to clear you for registration before you are allowed to sign up for classes, so even if you wanted to do it without an advisor I don't think you could. It may be different at UVA but I would be very surprised if it is!
ReplyDeleteHello, I sent in my final transcript and it is no longer on my to-do list on SIS,but my application status changes from complete to incomplete after a few days. Should I worry about it? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI never had stuff on my to-do list, including a notice to send in final transcripts. Should I be worried?
ReplyDeleteBladeRunner, I am in the same boat as you. My final transcripts have been received, but now it says my application is now incomplete. I thought it was because to my dismay landed a single C in FRE 202
ReplyDeleteI am in the same situation with BladeRunner and Anon right above me. I hope this status change is normal to happen. It may shows that it is incomplete since sending final transcript is one of our final to-do lists and admissions just decided to put every single admitted student as incomplete for choosing their last real future Hoos. Being incomplete doesn't have to mean that our applications are still CONSIDERED like they were back in April. I am trying to be positive as much as I can.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's normal situation for every transfer student who sent their final transcript, since I got a higher GPA than last semester and no C or Bs. The transformer said in one post that a single C should be fine so Anon I don't think you should worry about it.Also, they said if there is any problems with the transcript they will contact with us. I hope they are pulling out all the transfers as incomplete to choose the real future Hoos including those will be off the waitlist.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh mine does not say incomplete?? What should I do? I submitted my transcript and they did receive it.
ReplyDeleteLA, how do you know they got it? I sent mine in a while ago (May 16th I think) and I haven't heard anything). Nothing has happened on SIS for me, either. I too am waiting for the wait list results!
ReplyDeleteTranscripts,
ReplyDeleteI think LA is saying that they received it because it is no longer on her to-do list.
Hopefully we will get the answers for all of these questions soon.
Thanks, Anon. I just never had anything on my to-do list so I don't know what they have or haven't gotten. Kind of weird how this is the only thread transfermer hasn't commented on....
ReplyDeleteThree of my friends and I have the same problem with status. Hopefully it will be gone soon. :)
ReplyDeleteTranscripts, I called and asked them also I sent it via priority mail so I know they received it that way as well. Also, my page never listed any to-do's so i'm also a bit confused even more so now that everyone says their page says complete. -LA
ReplyDeleteHoo2014,
ReplyDeleteNo, you can no longer take courses at your community college the summer AFTER your first year at UVa. You can take them this summer however.
HopefulWahoo16 and James,
The landscape has changed a bit and I think the wait list will be announced for all schools at the same time.
Anon with 50 credits,
I think you should be attending the third-year session, but it is not up to us. You’ll need to contact your school.
CreditMan,
I believe your school will be reviewing the transcripts of hundreds of students up through until orientation. It is a wait and see process.
Anon who is looking for where to send a transcript,
Yes, send it to us in admission.
Anon who is on the wait list,
The to-do list doesn’t ask for final transcripts. We only asked for it on your decision page.
Anon,
The process should be completed by the end of June.
Anon who is looking for decisions,
We will email you and change your SIS page.
Argentia,
You will first enroll in courses at orientation. No one can register before that time.
ANONYMOUS PEOPLE,
I will no longer answer your questions at busy times like this if you do not make a name or alias for yourself.
Thank you!
At the same time? Wow. Nerve wracking! Thanks so much for the response!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I hope my courses are still open by that time. I have to do Session H of Orientation because I am living abroad this summer.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for answering my question.
