At 3pm today, we sent out offers via email to about 20 students. We are
offering to students who applied to Architecture, Engineering and Arts and
Sciences. Most of these will
come from the College of Arts and Sciences. Our method of communication
is via email, but these students can also check their SIS accounts
whereby the decision will be changed to offer. Instructions on
important deadlines for depositing will be in the email. Check your spambox or junk folder, but please do not call the
office if you do not get an email or if your decision hasn't changed.
The wait list is still open for all schools. In fact, my sense is that we may make some offers for Commerce and Nursing in the future. I just want you all to prepare for the completion of the process. We hope to have all of this wrapped up by the end of June. Like I said in the last post, I will announce it on the
blog when the process is finished. You'll also receive an email.
WOOOO!!! Accepted :D

"In the future"
ReplyDeleteI am still in total shock. Thank you so much Transfermer for guiding me and others through this process. I can't wait to see everybody this coming Fall!
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes to all those still on the waitlist. I wish you all the best of luck. Please stay strong, no matter how hard it seems. Miracles do happen. I promise you all this.
Hey Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteI know this does not apply to your blog post, but I did not receive an answer before so I thought I would post the comment again. I was accepted as a transfer student and I was curious about final transcripts being sent in...my school sent it about three weeks ago, but when I go onto my SIS account it still says I need to send it in. Not sure if I should be worried it got lost or if uva just hasn't had time to process it/update it yet. I also just recently received an email saying UVA still did not have my final transcript.
I realize calling or emailing uva is pointless since they don't have the staff to check for me.
Thanks!
Accepted :) Just to let all the hopefuls out there know, we are given 48 hours to respond/pay the deposit. I wish you all the best of luck and, as always, thank you so much Transfermer. You're truly a light for us.
ReplyDelete@appreciated accepted
ReplyDeleteCongrats and thanks for telling us the deadline.
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteTranscripts,
Did you get a "we are still missing your final transcript email." At this point, I would recommend emailing or calling. It may be lost in the mail and you'll have to re-send it. Thanks for asking again.
Dear Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteWhen will version 3.0 or 2.5 come out? lol...
Thanks.
My "To Do" list says I am missing my final transcript, FAFSA, and parent signature page. I know these have been sent in several months ago. Have they just not been moved to my new file from my waitlisted file or are they lost in a mountain of paperwork? When would it be appropriate to become worried and start resending?
ReplyDeleteAnother round of questions...
ReplyDeleteWhen am I able to enroll in classes?
When can I sign up for housing?
Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if you can give us a little more information about when transfer credit will be evaluated and how we can access the evaluation.
I Love My Goldfish,
ReplyDeleteYou should do a little research before resending. You can email our office about the final transcript – undergradadmission@virginia.edu. Regarding the FAFSA and the Parent Signature page, this may take a couple of days to surface, but you could try calling Student Financial Services about it -434-982-6000. Everyone enrolls in courses at Orientation. It should take three days for your deposit to go through all systems. It’s my understanding that you can then apply for housing. You may have to take the computing quiz before you can sign up for the housing lottery.
Another Question,
Credit is evaluated from now until orientation. You will be able to see this on your SIS account. If you do not submit your final transcript soon, there is a chance this credit will not be ready by orientation.
will there be any more offers? do you think the waitlist will be open for much longer?
ReplyDeleteMy SIS account says you still need my Spring transcript which I requested once my grades were posted. Is there any point in asking my school to resubmit to you at this point? I was applying for transfer to the college of arts and sciences.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am seriously considering changing my major to nursing. Is it possible to have my transfer application forwarded to the nursing school?
How many students from the original 80 that were let off the wait list accepted?
ReplyDeleteThe waiting is so random.
ReplyDeletedearrrrrrr,
ReplyDeleteIf the time for replying last round of offers is only 48 hours, can we expect the last round of offers to come out this week?
I can't believe there are people still waiting, good luck!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteCan you give us any update????
Thanks.
???????????????
ReplyDeleteTHanks
Hi Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteHow's it going? How long do we still have to wait? Thank you!
C'mon transfermer, please end this for us and thank you for everything you've done for us!
ReplyDeleteWaiting+1
ReplyDeletewaiting. I feel there is gonna be something this week.
ReplyDeletePeople need to calm down. They are just wrapping up the whole thing!
ReplyDeleteHi Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteLet's put an end to this waiting, please!
Thank you! You are the best!!
WHERE IS TRANSFERMER?
ReplyDeleteHere I am. There has been some slight movement. Yesterday and today, we offered to a total of seven students. This includes two for Commerce and five for the College of Arts and Sciences. We're almost done guys.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous with missing grades,
ReplyDeleteI would encourage you email the office, both about the transcript and the switch to nursing. Chances are we won't be able to honor the nursing request, but you can still ask.
I have been admitted to Arts and Sciences, but I am very interested in doing the Nursing program. Is there any way I may switch to Nursing now?
ReplyDeleteGlad it's over. I've had my SEVIS sent to Cornell. UVA has always been my #1 but "a goal is not always meant to be reached, it often serves simply as something to aim at."
ReplyDeleteI'm experiencing a mixture of all sorts of emotions but above all anxiety. It's the 26th and I'm still hanging around on the wait list but I haven't lost all hope quite yet. Anyhow, I hope that this arduous process ends soon for all of us still remaining on the wait list. Best of luck to all! Has there been any movement in the last days Transfermer?
ReplyDeleteHello. I am still waiting for getting into UVA. The current situation is when I check my status on UVA sis, I only see two buttons, which means I am still on waiting list. right?
ReplyDeleteDo you know when I finally know the UVA decision? cause I am an international student, I have to book an airplane ticket and ask for I-20 form before leaving my country.
Regards,
Youngrim Lee
I'm pretty sure it's over. Move on, pals!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's not over until you get a closing email from us. There has been no movement this week.
ReplyDeleteConsidering nursing,
You can write to make the request, but chances are slim that we can fulfill it.
Hello! I am an international student, and I speak Chinese (native language) and English. Does that satisfies the college's foreign language competency requirement?
ReplyDeleteI have taken French for two semesters at my current college, and I want to continue my study in French. Do I need to take the French Placement Exam in order to continue to take French courses at UVA? Or do I need to wait until my credit evaluation is available? Thank you so much for your time!
i don't understand, there's been no movement since the 21st and even that was only a slight one, but the list still hasn't closed. it seems like you all are waiting on something. please, this is agonizing, will more offers really be made?
ReplyDeletewhatishappening: I could be mistaken, but I'd imagine a number of the deans and other faculty were busy with the campus craziness that occurred from the Teresa Sullivan ouster and BOV scandal.
ReplyDeleteJust googled the Teresa Sullivan ouster and I'm glad that UVA is reunited now!
ReplyDeletegouva,
ReplyDeleteYou should speak with the College of Arts and Sciences on these topics.
Thanks Waiting,
I'm glad we are reunited as well.
