We released a few more decisions this afternoon. Some for the College of Arts and Sciences and a few for nursing. At this point, all wait lists are still open, but we are coming towards the end of the wait. Again, I'll let you know when all lists are officially closed.
Later this summer, we'll start the conversation about spring transfer. The (new)October 1 deadline is less than four months away.
P.S. Thank you for your genuine and positive comments these last few weeks. You guys are great.
Are we just to expect an email?
ReplyDeleteThank you, UVA! I received my email this morning. Go Hoos!!!!
ReplyDeleteAny update on engieering transfers?
ReplyDeleteAre the seats already full for McIntire? I have been on the waitin list, since May, and have not received an email on a decision. I was wondering when the list will be out for Mcitire. Thanks
ReplyDeletei applied for nursing. i'm hoping to get an email. Can you keep us updated on the nursing school and the spots? please
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: There won't be any confirmation as to whether or not the McIntire wait list is closed until everything has come to an definitive end. I too am waiting on a decision for McIntire. You'll receive an email either when you are accepted or when the wait list is officially closed..
ReplyDeleteIn other words: even if the nursing, engineering, or commerce slots are satisfied, I don't think Transfermer will confirm that until the very end because there's always a small chance things can change.
Just patiently sit tight with both fingers crossed.
I'm freaking out about the waitlist closing soon. Good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeleteAre waitlist applications still being reviewed? If we send in anything new or an update will it be seen or just slipped into our file never to be seen again...?
ReplyDeletehas anybody heard anything?
ReplyDeleteI got in!! I heard the news today!!
ReplyDelete(CAS)
^dang not looking too good for me then :( congratulations though!!
ReplyDeletedoes this mean they aren't doing things in waves anymore? i'd expect a blog update about another wave going out if this were so.
YES,YES,YES,YES !I got in ! Can't wait to see the Rotanda and all the other places ! is there any space left in the dorms for us , or do we have to consider out-of-campus apartments ?
ReplyDeleteYes, we made a small number of offers yesterday. They were all for the College of Arts and Sciences.
ReplyDeleteDecisions were emailed and a letter will go out to the same students today.
The wait list is still technically open. I will write again when it closes. All students remaining on the wait list will receive an email. We hope to have this year's process completed by the end of the month, weeks earlier than it was in 2010.
Has anyone received rejection letter?
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that on-grounds housing, while you might not get your first choice should still be available.
ReplyDeleteNo one who remains on the wait list has received a notice of not being offered admission. That will happen when we close the wait list.
How can we somewhat know if we are ejected?
ReplyDeleteHave any engineering students been let in? If not, why?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the chances that you'll be taking any more people off the waitlist?
ReplyDeleteCan I have some information on how the waitlist process is actually carried out? I honestly feel like my application is sitting in a pile somewhere and just not being read.
ReplyDeleteAre all waitlisted applicants reviewed after every wave of new offers or are some pulled out early on because they either lack materials or are just less qualified from the rest of the bunch, never to be looked at again? I'd just like some insight. Who knows? Maybe there actually are many more people qualified than I am!
Still, congratulations to all who have been admitted so far! You are living my dream! :)
Have any engineering students been accept?
ReplyDeleteI've been on the waiting list for McIntire, however I did indicate on my application that if I was declined from McIntire I would like to be considered for the School of Arts&Sciences. So if I applied to McIntire and get declined, can I still be considered for Arts&Science? Finally, will we be emailed when the waiting list is closed to let us know that we have been declined or accepted?
ReplyDeleteDid anybody get that email today because I didn't and I should be on the waitlist...
ReplyDeleteHas anyone gotten off for SEAS?
ReplyDeleteHave you guys accepted anybody off the wait list for the E school?
ReplyDeleteThis in response to Sammy:
ReplyDeleteI was checking some of the other posts and came across an answer to your question. Unfortunately, Admissions will only consider you for the school in which you applied. So, if you applied to McIntire and are not accepted they will not consider you for another school.
I wish you the best and hope everything works out for you.
Bina is right.
ReplyDeleteNo, we haven't offered to any engineers on waitlist.
Hold tight. Things will come to a close soon.
Are there any more spots left for nursing? or should i just wait...
ReplyDeleteare there any spots left for arts and sciences? plz pick me :) it would make me happy for the rest of my life haha. good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeleteare there any spots left in school of Arts and Sciences. Please give my application a chance. I really and only want to come to UVA. I am just hoping that there would be at least one spot for me:(.
ReplyDeleteDo you plan on offering any engineer from the wait list admission?
ReplyDeleteJust to keep you in the loop, we made another small handful of offers this afternoon. An email was sent to these students. They were only from the College of Arts and Sciences.
ReplyDeleteTransfermer,
ReplyDeleteCan you please let mention any updates for McIntire regarding admissions. Is the wait-list closed for McIntire? If not, can you please indicate an approximate date. How many more seats are available for McIntire? And also, has anyone been accepted to McIntire from a VCCS (Virginia Community College System)?
