Waitlist Update

We are just beginning to move to the waitlist. We expect to take 50-100 students per usual. Most will come from the College of Arts and Sciences. Keep reading.

As we begin to look at files, we are not seeing the final transcripts(including spring grades) that are necessary for aiding us with this process. It is very rare that we would make a final decision on a student without these grades.

If you haven't already done so, please send your official transcript to our office. The address is UVA Office of Admission, P.O. Box 400160, Charlottesville, VA 22904.

While I realize I might be preaching to the choir, it never hurts to get a reminder :)

  3. Are you going to make decisions for people who have sent their transcripts or is admissions going to wait for all of the final grades before decisions are made?

  4. is there any way to verify that our final transcripts have been received? Would we have been notified if they were not?

  5. Patriot17,

Yes, give the admissions office a call and they will be able to tell you if they have processed your transcript.

  6. Anonymous 1,

On one of the earlier posts by the transfermer they said that around 400 people were placed on the waiting list.

  7. Hey guys,

I haven't heard anything yet on SIS (which I just checked) - if you guys see any action (i.e. accept/decline), let us know on here!

    Thanks,

  8. Thanks for your update. As time is getting late for transfers and most of the remaining positions are will come from the College of Arts & Sciences, could you help us all with information on the status of the remaining schools, possibly those where the waitlist is now closed?

  9. Why do you have this blog if very few questions are answered. It's getting frusterating. When are they going to start the phone calls or have they already?

  10. @ Anonymous (most recent),

Transfermer won't reply to your questions lest you show a username -it's hard to be direct with an anonymous individual.

And don't be upset. This blog is here to help you with the process and is a voluntary thing by the university. It is updated as needed and Transfermer will get to your questions asap.

Just stay in check on here, though... even if it is "frusterating".

    Signed,
    The World Rim Roamer

  12. Yes, we have made contact with a small handful of students. In fact, none of the schools are closed just yet. Still Hopeful, that is a great question and I will let you know when they close. We will try our best to wait for all of the transcripts to come in as we make our decisions, but again, this is a another reason for decisions coming out in waves and not all at once. Yes, just over 400 people are on the wait list.

  13. Transfermer,

Do you by any chance know when all of the decisions will be made? I understand they are coming out in waves but doe the admission department have a vague date when they foresee all waitlist applicnats having been notified?

    Thanks!

  16. Thank you for the updates (they have been very helpful during the waitlist process). Do you know when/have an estimate when the rising sophomore transfer applicants for the College of Arts and Sciences will hear decisions? And do we just keep checking on SIS for the decision?
