If you have been admitted...

please be patient when it comes to courses showing on ISIS or your VISTAA report. Registrars are currently combing through every single course on every single transcript for 500+ students. As you can imagine, this takes time. Everything will be up by the time you come to Orientation.

  1. Do you know when we might hear about housing? I'm getting kind of worried about finding a place off grounds if I don't get anywhere on grounds. Thanks!

  2. I am also worrying about housing. Are the transfer students guaranteed for on-campus housing? Or is there a possibility that we have to find any other place off grounds?

  3. If I have an issue with someone assigned to my suite, is it possible to change to another suite? and if so, who should I contact?

  4. Housing is not technically guaranteed for transfer students, but the housing office never runs out of space.

I read in the myUVA book that assignments will be coming out all summer long via your virginia.edu email. When you get your username and password, I'd reoommend checking this at least once a day.

If you have questions about anything regarding housing, you should call the housing office. They can be reached at 434.924.6873.

  7. Transcript-wise, I have completed two years of Russian in college, and the credits do come up on VISTAA, but foreign language requirement shows up as unfulfilled. Will I have a chance to talk to someone at the summer orientation, or should I contact someone right now? If so, who do I contact if I haven;t declared my major yet?

  8. I'll have two classes in progress when orientation comes around July 17th. What will i need to do about those once i complete them since one will be a BIO and one a Language? Can i bring a copy of my transcript showing they are in progress?

  9. I believe that I was given credit for the wrong class, but I'm not sure. At my last college, I took a "freshman seminar" which I believe has no equivalent at UVA. Yet I was given credit for it as FRTR100. Im not sure, but I think FRTR are french classes. Could you let me know what I should do or who I should contact about this?

  10. Will you be notifying the rest of the wait-list students today? And will we be notified either way, so we know if we didn't get in?

  11. I'm getting kind of paranoid about registering for classes during orientation. I didn't take a language at my previous school, so I have to start at the 101 level at UVA. However, I'm worried that all the spots will be taken by the time I register. Will class spots be set aside for each orientation session or is there a chance that I won't be able to get into the language I want to take?

  13. Could you answer me a question on CLEP( College-Level Examination Program® )? Here is the question: if i take CLEP during my freshman year and my university also grant the credits, then when I transfer to UVA, will the credits be transfered or granted?
