Final Transcripts

We just wanted to send a quick reminder about submitting those final transcripts.  If you have paid your deposit, this is imperative.  If you want to be considered for a spot off the wait list, you should send your transcript.  Do us a favor and make sure all of your grades have been posted before you request the transcript.

You must send a transcript including your spring grades even if you are taking summer courses.  If you are in summer courses, you'll need to send two transcripts - 1) now and 2) when your summer courses are over.

Some of you attend a school with trimesters where transcripts won't be available until June.  Please make sure to send those as soon as possible.

We expect to go to the wait list for the College of Arts and Sciences and Engineering during the second week of June. The other schools are up in the air.

We look forward to taking a look at your updated transcripts!

  3. Thanks Charles. For future reference everyone, our address is always on our website, or on the right-hand side/front page of this specific blog.

  4. Thank you for the reminder! Does "up in the air" mean that other schools may not take anyone from the waitlist, or that the timeframe is simply undecided?

  5. Once we send in our final transcripts and they've been processed, how do we start signing up for classes? Do we technically not enroll in classes until orientation? Should I call a counselor to talk about my transfer credits? Thank you in advance for the help.

  6. CanonRebelz,
Both of these guesses are true. We have already made a few offers from the nursing school wait list because those students were required to take summer courses. But, that's all for now.

    Rebecca Nguyen,
This depends on the school, but for most of you, yes, you'll register at orientation. If you are in the College of Arts and Sciences, you'll find this link to be very helpful - http://college.as.virginia.edu/ntsg/fall. It will also answer your questions about credit evaluation. I know that engineering students will be able to register earlier because their orientation is not until late August. The same is likely true for the Commerce school.

  7. My transcript was emailed by the school. Is that okay? When will I know for sure what credits transfered?

  8. When will transfer students find out if they have been accepted from the waitlist? Specifically for the college of Arts and Sciences.

  9. Hi Tranfermer I am also wondering about uva19s question: Is an official transcript e-mailed from our University alright?

  10. uva19 and UVA20,
Electronic transcripts are fine, but they must be official transcripts. Usually, these are sent through a third-party vendor like Parchment or the National Student Clearinghouse.

    Marvi Wahla,
As we said in the post above, we expect to go to the wait list in the middle of June. This is a moving target, so we will let you know on the blog when it's happening.

  14. Sorry I'm a little late to the thread but I was just curious as to what email we send our transcripts to if we are sending them electronically!

  15. Cameron,
We'll accept an electronic transcript as long as it is coming through your university registrar or a third party group that they use. You can use the email address you see on the right side of the blog.

  16. Not sure if this is the right blog post to comment on but I am curious about sending mid-term reports. I've communicated with my university and they do not offer any formal mid-term grade recognition or forms. I would like to send grades to date but I understand it is not required. How should I go about updating you all on my mid-term grades?

    Thanks
