-Many of you many not have received your Student Information System (SIS) username and passwords if you applied over the weekend. There was a glitch with the upload from Common Application to our side. This will be fixed overnight. After that time, you should receive confirmation from us.
-There will be a missing parts email going out to 160 applicants today. These 160 students did not submit the writing supplement that I mentioned in my last post. They will be given a short turnaround to go in and complete the application.
-Please allow 7-10 days for your transcripts to be matched up to your application if you applied within the last two weeks.
-We have also found 100 people who did not enter in their high school information. If this is you, please write to transferadmission@virginia.edu with the following information.
Your Name, Date of Birth, High School, High School Address and the dates in which you attended. If you attended two or more high schools, please include this information as well. We require your high school transcript or GED score report if you decide to apply with us.
Is SIS the same thing as myUVA?
ReplyDeleteGood question. No, it is not. There are many usernames and passwords to keep up with.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to follow up by saying that you'll see that both have to-do or check lists. myUVA is a portal for the prospective student, applicant and newly admitted student. SIS is for the applicant, newly admitted student and then student for the entirety of their time at UVa.
ReplyDeleteHi, I have still not received my SIS information. Should I keep waiting, or should I look to contact someone about this?
ReplyDeleteI am applying to transfer as a 3rd year and previously applied last spring and was waitlisted. Do I still need to submit my high school transcripts or will the admissions office pull my file from last year? Also, can I still assign recommenders even though the common app is closed?
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Hi! I'm applying for this fall. I checked my SIS and it said my application was complete, but I want to submit my midterm grades (I'm doing well this semester and my grades have been posted to blackboard). Where can I find the grade report?
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteLast week I got an email saying that UVA was missing my current school transcript. I immediately put in an online request to get it sent, and my school website says that's the fastest way to get your transcript through. But since it takes a few weeks for the SIS to update, is there a way for me to confirm that my transcript was actually received? I emailed this question to Undergraduate Admissions and their reply was that items are taken off the To Do List as soon as missing documents arrive and are linked to student files. How long does that process usually take?
Thank you!
