Spring 2014 Transfer Decisions

All transfer decisions will be posted online this evening at 5PM EST.  Remember that you have to consult your SIS account to get your decision. You'll have information about this in your UVA confirmation email. We will post all decisions online, but we will only be mailing letters to admitted students.  A student is either offered or not offered.  There is no wait list process for spring admission.

Do not call the office to ask for your decision.  We do not give out decisions over the phone. To get to your account, go here and click on the "SIS Login."   If you don't remember your account information, seek out the help information on the left-hand side of that same page.

About 15% of applicants were admitted. If you were not admitted, you might have the opportunity to "roll over" your application for fall 2014 consideration.  Please follow the directions in your online letter.  This option is not available for students who are entering their sixth semester at a four-year institution (this is not a community college) next spring.  Unfortunately, these students are no longer eligible to come to UVa.

  1. Hello,
I was offered admission for the spring semester and accepted on SIS, but when I try to pay my tuition deposit the link says there is a security issue and wont allow me. Is this a site-wide issue or a problem specific to me?

    Thanks!

  3. Epic experience! From beginning to end every single touch point was a pure delight. Bill Jr set the stage for a great move as I was relocating across country. He provided the framework of the service and conducted the estimate. brisbane airport to noosa

  4. I was dissapointed to find I didn't get accepted for Spring 2014, but oh well, I will try again in the fall. You guys who got in, what was your GPA, and what year transfer are you (2nd year, 3rd year etc.)? I just want to know so that I can compare my academics to those who were accepted, so that I can have an idea on where I lack strength and where to improve for next time. Thanks.

  5. Thanks for the reports on SIS. We are looking into it.

    Cavalier Pride,
I wouldn't advise getting into this. Spring admission is so very competitive and comparing one applicant to another (spring or fall really) is like comparing apples to oranges.

  6. What is the minimum GPA needed to transfer to the Civil Engineering program?

  7. I wanna to know that compared to accepted spring transfer, does fall transfer has a even higher admission standard compared to the spring transfer? For example, like a higher GPA or higher SAT score?

In addition, I was rejected for the spring 2014 transfer. And my program GPA is 3.58 ( I have one C in first semester and I retook it, so my college GPA went up to 3.72), it means I have two GPA on my transcript. I want to know that would UVA take into account the lower GPA or higher one ? And my first semester's GPA is 3.32, second semester's GPA is around 3.8( All A's and one B in that retake course with an overload schedule). My third semester's GPA may goes up to 4.0. If so, how much chance do I have to be admitted by the fall 2014 term transfer?

  8. Is there a Facebook group for Spring 2014 transfers to connect through?

  9. I understand that transfer decisions were posted on Nov. 26, but I have not received a confirmation email. Have you sent out admission notification emails to all spring transfer applicants or only admitted applicants? As of today, I have not received any notification from your office. Any guidance or advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.
