Breaking news. Our first major wave of Arts and Sciences and Engineering offers will go out tomorrow. We have already offered to a tiny group from the architecture school and the commerce school, but these lists are not yet officially closed. We will also offer to some on the nursing waiting list tomorrow. In all, somewhere around 75-80 decisions will be turned to offers.
These offers are announced through email, so check the email account you entered on your application. Check your junk mail too. In order to keep this moving, you will have 48 hours to deposit. Go back into your SIS self-service page and there you can pay your $400 deposit.
Good luck!
Hey Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteJust so I don't refresh my email every 5 seconds tomorrow, approximately when would the emails be sent out?
Dear Transfermer,
ReplyDeletewhen and how many are you planning to offer to commerce waitlists?
Thank you,
I AM IN!!! Thank you so much!!! I just saw my SIS page turned, but no email notification received though.
ReplyDeleteIs there any deposit fee waiver this year for low family income student?
Thanks for answering the question.
GOT IN!!!!! I'm so glad. Thanks Transfermer so all the helpful information!
ReplyDeleteWhen would we get our financial aid package?
have emails gone out yet?
ReplyDeleteYou said in your post that a few offers to the Comm School students were sent out, do you know when this was done?
ReplyDeleteHey Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteI haven't received an email, nor have I seen any changes on my SIS. Does this mean I am still on the waitlist?
I drove down to Charlottesville last week to drop of my transcript in person because I wanted to show my interest by also talking to the dean of admissions.
I don't know what else there is that I can do to help myself get into UVA. I took 21 credits last semester, received straight A's and got 2 additional letters of recommendations. I managed to do all that while being a full time employee and the president of the business club at my community college. I'm trying to show UVA how much I want to be a part of the school but I feel like my message is not getting across.
What else can I do to help my case??
I checked the decision letter in my SIS account this afternoon, and I noticed that the date in the heading was June 7th. While the content remains the same, still waitlisted, does this have any significance? Am I re-waitlisted for this first wave of offers, or does the date on the online decision letter simply reflect today's date?
ReplyDeleteEmails were all out by this afternoon. Note: we have not made any wait list offers to the Batten School.
ReplyDeleteHOOHOOHOO and Robby,
Fee waivers are given to students who qualify. It is based on your financial aid award. Student Financial Services will tell us if you qualify, but this will be after the deposit deadline. If you need your financial aid award in order to make your decision, please email us ASAP.
Waleed,
It really sounds like you've done all that you can do at this point. Congrats to you on a great semester. I wish we could admit anyone who wanted it enough, but this is a competitive process. Our decisions are based on many parts of the entire application.
Ryan,
This means nothing. I think what you're seeing is a reflection of today's date. There is no such thing as "re-waitlisting." There will be a second wave of offers, but I can't say when.
Do you know how many offers were sent out to letters and sciences? and how many spots are left? I really want to get accepted, but haven't received an email yet.
ReplyDeleteHello Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteI was recently accepted off of the waitlist but I am still waiting to hear back from one other university who will notify their applicants on June 15. Do I need to pay the $400 deposit before June 15 to ensure that I maintain my acceptance at UVa?
Thanks,
Hello Transfermer!
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering if it would be acceptable to send admissions a final letter of interest or an additional letter of recommendation. I know that receiving a spot off the waitlist is a very competitive process but I really want the comittee to know just how ready I am to compete, achieve, and learn!
Got in as well! I look forward to spending next year in C-Ville! Let's GO! Wahoowa
ReplyDeleteIf I pay the $400 deposit, does that mean that I have to attend UVA or can I still back out of attending the school?
ReplyDeletejust to be sure I read correctly, there's going to be two waves of offers?
ReplyDeleteWhen are we going to be able to accept our estimated financial aid? I want to be able to access my loan options as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteDear Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteDo you have an estimated date of when the university will finish sending out waiting list offers? Thanks!
when is the second wave of waitlist coming out?
ReplyDeleteCan we expect to see movement on the waitlist this afternoon?
ReplyDeleteWhen should we expect the second wave to come out?
ReplyDeleteHave any offers been extended to out-of-state students from the waitlist? Also, do you expect to make offers to any more out-of-state applicants?
ReplyDeleteTransfermer,
ReplyDeleteCould you perhaps provide an update as to when you will be notifying us in regards to the second wave of acceptances?
I second Joseph's comment, thanks! I called in this morning and the admissions officer said she couldn't say anything except offers are still being made.
