We have very few architecture applicants, but if you are one of them, you have the opportunity to submit a portfolio of your work. This is not required if you're applying, but it's an ... option.
These can be submitted electronically and the deadline is March 10. For more information, please go to http://admission.virginia.edu/admission/arts# and read the instructions on submitting an electronic version.
Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteI'm applying to the Curry School for the BA/MA Teacher Program. They have told me that it's ok to submit my PRAXIS scores towards the end of March since I'm scheduled to take the PRAXIS on March 14. My question is, where should those scores be submitted so that they get them as quickly as possible. Through UVA admissions or directly to the Curry School?
Thanks for all your help, Transfermer. This blog is a godsend!
On the transfer supplement part of the common app it says to email a list of all my classes taken and their course descriptions for "preliminary evaluations". If I am a VCCS student and my degree and therefore all the classes in it has been approved for the Engineering transfer degree before, does this only include the classes not pertaining directly to it that I have taken(Org. Chemistry etc.)or really all of them? Either way what info should I put in the email to properly identify it (common app #, name, social?)
ReplyDeleteRobert,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you've found the blog helpful. You should have the PRAXIS score sent to us in admission. The Curry reviewers will see it as we share files.
transfer,
nice try. You need to list all courses. It is tedious, but I highly doubt it would take more than an hour. Simply cut and paste from your online catalog. I quickly found your course. See below. Your name and birth date can be used to identify you.
CHM 241 - Organic Chemistry - Course Description
Introduces the fundamentals of the chemistry of carbon compounds, including structures, physical properties,
synthesis, and typical
reactions. The course emphasizes reaction mechanisms. The first semester of this
sequential course covers the chemistry of hydrocarbons (alkanes, alkenes, alkynes), alkyl halides and basic
spectroscopy.
Lecture 3 hours per week.
Thank you for this link!
ReplyDeletePlease let me know if I could additionally present my digital work portfolio?
Can we send extra material? Also, who evaluates my application? The School of Architecture or the Admissions department in general (or both) ?
