If you follow this blog closely, you know that we try to have information sessions every Fall and Spring. Our next one will be held on Wednesday, February 10th from 1-3:30pm. It will be in the Newcomb Hall Theater. This includes a 1 hour sit-down session followed by a walking tour of the grounds that lasts anywhere from 1.25-1.5 hours. Reservations are not necessary.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am very exicted/hopeful about the opportunity to attend UVa but I have not acquired the stellar grades which most of the UVa student body probably has. I want to apply to the 5 year MA education program at Curry but I am scared the admissions standards will be higher there than at the College of Arts and Sciences, is this a valid discomfiture? Should I just not worry about it? Thanks.
i don't think you have to be Transfermer to know that you're probably not going to be accepted without good grades.
ReplyDeleteTransfermer,
ReplyDeleteI just submitted my application and paid my fee. How do I get a SIS login to check my to-do list and what not.
thanks
To Transfermer:
ReplyDelete1) If I have applied before, will I have to resend my college and high school transcripts, SAT/subject tests/AP scores?
2) Is it possible to transfer more than 60 credits from one's previous institutions upon acceptance, as long as one completes 60 credit hours worth of courses at UVA?
Please let me know! Thank you so much for all your help.
To Transfermer:
ReplyDeleteAlso, concerning my last question in your previous post, where should I submit the writing to? In the application or supplement part of my essay? Or directly to the University through mail? I'm sorry about all the questions!
Emilio,
ReplyDeleteThe MT program is much smaller than the College of Arts and Sciences (College) and requires some courses that differ from the College, but the admissions standards are virtually the same.
Ray,
I assume you’ve received your SIS information. Unfortunately, it’s not automatic and takes 24-72 hours.
Todeke,
1)You need to send your most recent transcripts, but not your test scores or high school transcript.
2)You cannot transfer more than 60 credits to the College. The other schools have various rules and stipulations.
3)You’re filling out a new application, so you can attach this in your basic application.
To. Transfermer,
ReplyDeleteIf I had a good GPA in highschool would it be better to send it?
Also, I have an average GPA (3.0) in a four-year system of liberal art school in VA as a International student.
Would my GPA lower the possiblitity of successful transferring admission?
Thank you, so much
