*1:30pm update*
As you all know, today is a very busy day in our office due to first-year decisions coming out, so I'll get to your comments as soon as I can. More importantly, I wanted to post about missing transcripts.
If you have been visiting your to-do list and your transcripts still appear, we'd like you to now take action to send them again. Unfortunately, these sometimes get lost in the mail.
I will say that if you are a rollover, please disregard this note FOR ALL TRANSCRIPTS. I know I keep saying this, but we will link materials for these spring applicants next week. This will then disappear for you.
Okay, for the rest of you. If transcripts are missing, please fax OR email them to us. After this, you MUST re-send an original version through the mail.
1) To fax a copy, you can use either (434) 924-7674 or (434) 924-3587. Put your fax to the attention of FRAN.
To email a copy, please email fb3u@virginia.edu
2) Then mail the original to UVA Office of Admission, P.O. Box 400160, Charlottesville, VA

Stay tuned for a post on "missing" standardized testing.
I applied last year as a senior, but my application is still incomplete with hs transcript and SAT scores on my to-do list. I was told not to resend those since they are kept on file. Should I sent them again?
ReplyDeleteSince the SIS says I am missing my high school transcript, do I just have to call my high school and have them re-send my transcripts? Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteActually, I guess I was a little too quick on posting. I am in the same situation as Blueberry. I applied in high school as a senior and send my HS transcript and SAT, and I applied last year as a transfer and send my HS transcript and SAT. Since I was told they would be kept on file, I made a note in my "Additional Info" section on the Common App that indicated that I have sent my data in previous years. I called UVA today and a lady informed me that if I have applied in the past with a HS Transcript and SAT, I shouldn't send them again.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little confused though, because this blog entry makes me feel that I should send my HS transcripts and SAT scores again. I know everyone at UVA is very busy with the freshman applicants and I don't want to complicate things, so I wanted to check first before I send my transcripts again.
Thanks again Transfermer.
So is there anyway to find out if transcript is missing for rollover applicants?
ReplyDeleteBlueberry,
ReplyDeleteGood point. This is another group we are working on. We will get to these as we can. However, I mentioned in a previous post that if you were not admitted, chances are, we do not have a complete transcript. You see if you weren't admitted, you wouldn't have sent FINAL grades - grades after your final exams in May/June. The same would be true for someone who is waitlisted and never sent us a transcript. Please think back on this before you resend.
Sud,
You can call your high school to have it faxed and then they have to mail another original. But, if you already have an original in your possession, you can fax/email and mail it yourself.
Anon,
Not at this point.
If my todo list has items which are in the 'initiated' status -does that mean they are incomplete and thus need to be sent again? I'm confused by your use of that word...
ReplyDeleteSo if my To Do List has "official transcript" on it would I just email my transcript and then have another sent by mail?
ReplyDeleteMy university has an unofficial transcript I can access online, could I email that and then have my university email my official transcript again?
Also the To Do List has my university listed underneath. Do I just send my university's transcript or do I have to send my high school transcript again too?
Anon,
ReplyDeleteThis means it hasn’t arrived.
Banh,
Correct. You must send it via mail after sending it by email.
If you high school isn’t listed, then we must have it.
Once we send it a second time, will this come off our To Do list, or till it stay on our To-Do list?
ReplyDeleteOnceAgain,
ReplyDeleteIt will disappear from your to-do list.
I received an email today stating that my application is missing my High School transcript.
ReplyDeleteI was under the impression that as a non-traditional (30 years old) transfer student with more than 30 credits that I did not need to submit my High School transcript.
How do I proceed?
Thanks in advance.
Every time I try to sign into my SIS account I get a message that says " You must have cookies enabled in order to sign in to your PeopleSoft application." I have tried using different computers to log in and haven't had any luck. I can't tell if I have things on my "to-do" list. Do you have any recommendations?
