MOST Decisions will be posted this evening

PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS AND READ IT CAREFULLY

Well, it's the information you've all been waiting for. We felt posting decisions a few days early would help many of you in your decision making process. That being said, we have not completed our review for everyone. Most decisions have been made at this time. I have to warn you that some committees are still meeting next week, but all decisions will be posted by April 30 at 5pm.

So, the majority of you will see decisions after 5pm today! Those who do not see a decision, will continue to see "Received" pop up on the status page.

Again, the login can be found here https://applyonline.virginia.edu/Admissions/Login/

Like I said before, the transfer process is a little different and continuing in that vein, letters will not go out today, but on May 1.

Thanks for being so patient. Best of luck to everyone!

  1. Are certain schools making their decisions next week or is it even more specific than that? If I don't see anything on my page, I just want to make sure that it's because it'll be posted next week and not that my page has bugs in it or is malfunctioning some how. Can you tell that the stress is getting to me?

  8. Oh my gosh. I had this weird feeling all day today about admissions. I swear I'm not going to get in. I had a 4.0 in HS and a 3.0 for my first sem. at William and Mary. I'll end this semester with close to a 4.0, but I don't think my GPA history will be good enough. Good thoughts to everyone! I really don't wanna go to JMU!

  10. woah, Leslie. If you don't think you're good enough to get in...why should UVA accept you? I'm SURE you're good enough. So, be positive. Best of luck to you and everyone else.

  11. Wait a second. Leslie, you're at W&M and you're thinking about going to JMU if you don't get into UVA? I do not understand this. I'm at JMU now, and I applied to UVA and W&M. I cannot understand why anyone would go to JMU over W&M. That seems almost suicidal.

  12. Haha, let me rephrase that- I feel really confident about myself and I think that I'm good enough- I'm just worried about how I'll stack up with everyone else. Thanks for the encouragement!

  13. Well, I was at W&M first semester and I LOVED it! But my parents (apparently) weren't paying for school, so I decided to take the semester away from W&M and work at home, taking classes at community college. I didn't apply back to W&M just because I decided I wanted something a little closer to home. Congrats on getting into W&M! Send me an email if you want some inside tips! I'm sure you'll love it if that's where you go!

  14. Well we can pass the time by all putting our arms around each others shoulders and singing UVA's famous "Good 'Ole Song" (sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne....

    Verse 1

That good old song of Wah-hoo-wah--we'll sing it o'er and o'er

It cheers our hearts and warms our blood to hear them shout and roar

We come from old Virginia, where all is bright and gay [5]

Let's all join hands and give a yell for dear old UVa.

    Chant

    Wah-hoo-wah, wah-hoo-wah! Uni-v, Virginia!

    Hoo-rah-ray, hoo-rah-ray, ray, ray--U-Va!

    Verse 2

What though the tide of years may roll, and drift us far apart

For alma mater still there'll be a place in every heart.

In college days we sing her praise, and so, when far away,

In memory we still shall be at the dear old U-Va.

  17. Wait Listed :(

Although I was accepted to W&M which is shocking but I'm already committed to W&M.

  18. Waitlisted.....I would like to send a letter to express my strong interest in attending, but am unsure of who to send it to. I applied to the McIntire School of Commerce, but also indicated my desire to be considered for the College of Arts and Sciences if I were not accepted in to McIntire....do I send letters to each school? The Waitlist decision was always my worst fear....I still have a glimmer of hope, but another long wait to see if I can still get in....

  19. Did anyone from Comm school get their status? I am one of the unlucky few who still has "received" and nothing more.

  20. I applied to the comm school and still see a "received" status, Can I take this as they are still reviewing?

  21. I guess that answers it then, lol

  22. Yes... I applied to Mc Intire... and was rejected

  23. am i right the college of arts and sciences haven't released their decisions? my status is still 'received' and most of the people who have made a comment applied to a different school. just a hunch. thank you for this wonderful news!
